Description
ETGEN TH is a combination medicine containing Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, used to effectively manage pain and inflammation related to joint and muscle disorders. It is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gouty arthritis, acute pain, chronic low back pain, and muscle spasms.
Etoricoxib belongs to the class of NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) that work by selectively inhibiting the cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins—chemical messengers responsible for pain and inflammation. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that acts on the spinal cord and brain centers to relieve muscle stiffness and spasms. Together, this combination provides relief from both inflammation and muscle-related discomfort, improving overall mobility and function in patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
